11 TV Characters I Love More Than Anything - Really, I just wanted an excuse for another meme. And every once in a while I list my top 10 hotties, but I did that not too long ago, and then AfterElton had a thing about 'TV characters you wanna marry', so I thought about that, but I realized that really, most of my favourite TV characters I don't necessarily wanna marry, so 'love more than anything' in this case mostly refers to how much affection I feel for them, how much watching them be awesome makes me all warm and fuzzy, how sad it makes me when they're miserable (tho of course there's a huge overlap with hotties and favourite shows etc). It's crazy how much I love these characters. Pictures under the cut!

So, skip=360 later... eek. Home, sweet home!

Agreeing to start New Years Eve with a 5K race wasn't one of my brightest moments, but it was nice to get outside and see the sun.

Double-Quote of the Day:

"We're the ones facing the damn camera, bitch."
~Gillian Anderson to Amanda Peet in the X-Files bloopers. Heeeee!!!

Scully: "In the tissue, there were traces of a drug called [bleep] me."
Mulder: "[bleep] me? I know that drug! Here we go, that's what I'm talking about!"
~Gillian and David mess up, also from the bloopers. Heeeee!!!

So last Friday (a week ago, that is, I just kept not finishing the write-up) I finally got to see The X-Files: I Want to Believe. It's not that long ago, but it feels longer. I'm still tired. 25 just doesn't bounce back the same way 18 did. Erg. Anyway. I loved it. I guess I'm pretty easy to please, though, I went 'OMG GILLIAN IS SO PRETTY!!!' the first time Scully showed up on the screen, and after that I didn't much care what happened as long as Scully was awesome.

A few spoilers and lots of rambling under here... )

I'm gonna spend this week overloading my brain with everything X-Files, and diligently stay away from anything spoilery online, seeing as I won't get to see the movie until Friday. I started out today with Bad Blood just to get in the mood, and then threw myself into the arc that begins with Biogenesis (because it leads to Sixth Extinction and Scully on a beach in the sunshine being beautiful, and then later to Provenance/Providence and lots of Scully/Reyes), and it's such a season ender. I mean, it's a good myth ep, and all that, but I forgotten what a season ender it is. They're throwing around Mulder's sister, and all kinds of stuff, trying to make sure we won't forget the important details over the summer. Goddess, I love this show so much.

And an X-Files meme that I took from [livejournal.com profile] mandysbitch.

1. What ONE thing do you most love about The X-Files? )

3. What are your THREE favorite lines (from the show)? )

5. What are your FIVE favorite episodes? )

SERIOUSLY, CHRIS CARTER???

X-FILES 2: I WANT TO BELIEVE???

THAT'S THE TITLE OF YOUR MOVIE?? THAT'S STUPID.

What's the third one gonna be, The Thruth Is Out There?? I promise I'm really really *really* seriously excited about the movie (even if Annabeth isn't in it), and I'll be there lining up outside the movie theatre the day it opens, but sorry, the title is still stupid.

Hmm, let's make a Xena sequel movie, what shall we call it, hmm, hmm... Oh, I know, Xena 2: The Warrior Princess.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [livejournal.com profile] fyca!!! I know I said I'd write you Liz/Gretchen, but it's not finished yet (sorry!), and also, it's turning out decidedly non-porny, so you're getting this instead. Hope you'll approve.

Title: One Night in Miami
Author: Fallon Ash
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Emily Procter/Annabeth Gish
POV: Shifty
Disclaimer: Lies, lies, lies, for non-commercial purposes only. They belong only to themselves
Word Count: 1980
Summary: Erotica entirely sans plot, ladies and, uhm, ladies.
A/N: [livejournal.com profile] fyca challenged me to write Emily/Annabeth (like ages ago, back when they appeared on CSI: Miami together), so here it is, finally. The style may be confusing, but since there's no plot, hopefully that won't matter.

It's here, and it's mine, and ooooooh, it's so pretty. It comes in what is supposed to look like an evidence box, complete with shiny pictures and quotes on, and inside, neatly lined up are all 9 seasons of the second best TV show there ever was, The X-Files. However, can someone tell me what makes Season 2 so scary it's only recommended from 18 and up, whereas all the other seasons are 15? Sure, Season 2 is scary, but not more so than the others...

I first heard about Army Wives on Sarah Warn & Lori's "She made me watch this!" vlog, which, btw, is one of my oh-so-guilty pleasures this summer. I've never seen more than half the shows they're talking about, but they're adorable, and funny, and it keeps me up-to-date. Well, that isn't true at all, I've know the show existed back since forever when AXIP started covering that Katherine Fugate (of Xena-fame) had a new tv-show in the works, but knowing there is a show by the name of "Army Wives", and hearing what it's like and that people like Kim Delaney (*swoon*), and Catherine Bell (*more swooning*) are on it are slightly different. And then when [livejournal.com profile] mylittleredgirl started writing femslash (of all things!) for it, I realized I should probably be watching it. Which I've proceeded to do, and am almost caught up. And of course it's lovely. Like lots of people have been saying, there is hugging, and hand-holding, and *gazing lovingly into each other's eyes*, for frick's sake, and then *longing gazes* following the loving gazes... my gawd. Claudia Joy is so totally in love with Denise. (and I'm making a very very concious effort here not to refer to them as Kim and Cathering, but dang, it's hard. I've seen too much of them elsewhere, and too little of them here) And they're so pretty. So damn pretty. So very very pretty.

I really have no point with the Army Wives stuff, other than 'damn, I'm not sure I'm ready for this yet, after the whole Desperate Housewives fiasco'. And I used to love Weeds but then I just accumulating episodes somewhere mid-third-season and never watching them. Which makes me sad. My problem is that I adore the ladies of these shows, but in the end my dislike for drama wins out, and I get to the disturbing point where I love the actresses and the characters but I hate the show. Katherine Fugate, you did a great job on Xena, please don't let me down with this show.

I can't stand the drama! I already have to watch the bloody L Word, but at least I've got recaps to warn me of what's gonna happen.

Colonel Holden sucks. - 1x03 spoiler )

But the hugging! The crying! The experimenting (good grief, did Claudia Joy just say that she had sex with lots of women in college??? Mmmmmm....)! The crying! The hugging! The *subtext*! Damn. I hate it when everyone else calls the pairing before I've had a chance to make up my mind (I totally wasn't into Bree/Lynette, but everyone else decided that was the femslash pairing of choice), but Claudia Joy/Denise is just sending all my little femslashpotential gauges off the charts. Eeeeeee!!!!!! More fic, [livejournal.com profile] mylittleredgirl, more!!!

Anyway. I have a new tea. It's Twinings Voyage - Brazilian BaĆa and it's so so good. It's flavoured with cocoa beans, vanilla, and coconut, and I drink it with cream and sugar and it tastes like a dessert. I'm just waiting for a hot day so I'll have a reason to drink it iced with rum. Mmmmmm......

So I believe this meme was created by the one and only [livejournal.com profile] mylittleredgirl and I threw in the tack-ons by [livejournal.com profile] fyca because she's the one who tagged me.

The story: A supernatural glitch in your DVR occurs. At first you panic, hitting lots of random buttons on your remote control, but then are RELIEVED to discover that no, your entire series recording of Golden Girls has not been deleted! But then, just as things appear to be back to normal, there's a puff of smoke, and a fairy appears! You have apparently freed the TV fairy from a televised hell in which she was made to watch endless reruns of Are You Hot?, and as fairies tend to be when freed, she is very grateful and wants to grant you magic wishes.

Now, the fairy has only TV-related powerz, and so she offers you the chance to go back in time and retroactively CHANGE the history of your favorite TV shows with 3.5 wishes!

Desperate Housewives - not really spoilers )

CSI: Miami - brief spoiler )

Weeds - spoilers )

Finished the night by watching Redux I & II. Ah, sigh, the good old The X-Files eps. (Hee!! I'd almost forgotten how seriously over the top they took themselves seriously. Ah, teh nostalgia!) I must have seen those episodes so many times. I automatically pressed fast-forward at the end of certain scenes, not really knowing why, but every single time there came a boring and cryptic CSM scene. Ehem. I love Scully so much. I love the cancer arc, and the Emily arc, and all that. My favourite seasons, 4 and 5, yes. Might do Christmas Carol and Emily tomorrow. Mmm... (What I'm really doing is putting off watching Friend in Need, though. I've promised myself I wouldn't watch FIN until I've seen and re-watched every single Xena episode that came before it. And I've long re-watched all of Season 2,3,4,5,1 (in that order) which leaves only Season 6, and once I start I won't let myself stop, and I really don't wanna watch FiN because that means it will all be over (yes, I know in detail just about everything that happens. And I've read the fic, too.), so partly I'm comforting myself by taking up TXF instead (and also because [livejournal.com profile] fyca is watching so much of it these days), but anyway...) I'm so sad that I haven't been able to find my latter Season 7 tape, because I've only ever seen all things once, and I'm dying to see it again. *sigh* But I'm starting with Seasons 5 and 6, maybe go back to 4 after that... and then, maybe, I'm ready to take on Xena Season 6...
