Ellen's Tribute to David Hasselhoff

My first reaction to this was a very befuddled "WTF?!?" But then it grew on me. Like, to the point where I'm (disturbedly) watching it over and over while giggling happily. Ellen is a truly inspired woman, and I worship at her feet. Also, it's an awesome song.



Go to Ellen's Official Site for a better-quality version (so the madness in her eyes can be truly appreciated - although it still doesn't do it the same justice as downloaded and watched in fullscreen mode), and more of her home videos (under 'ellen's bits') and vlogs.

Ellen is like the perfect obsession. She's hot, she's funny, she's smart, she's a lesbian, her girlfriend's hot, there's plenty of material... only thing lacking is the fanfic. :P

And yeah, we've gotten to about mid-season 4 here, right after New Years, they just voted that part with the anaconda Best Moment of 2006, apparently it won by a "landslide". Ellen with animals is always a treat to see, but that particular one was off the charts...

I've dabbled briefly in Real People Fic, but I prefer character fic. I mostly meant it in that I've never had an obsession where fanfic wasn't a large part of it. But all my other obsessions have been actors with cool characters on whom to write fanfic. (Except Tina Fey, which is where the "dabbling" comes in, ah, Tina Fey/Amy Poehler, but now with Liz Lemon I should take her up again...) With Ellen there's nothing to write. I mean, she has an awesome girlfriend that I have no desire to write out of the picture, and writing about an actual couple squicks me.

The amount of gay references have just sky-rocketed the last season. When he said that it was all exciting that someone referenced her being gay, and I just watched the episode where she's recovering from her back injury, and standing up, but not well, and goes "I'm not quite... straight. Well. You knew that." *snicker*
