This was almost ready to post this yesterday, but then I had a palm vs. hot pan incident and typing was annoying for most of the day after that. Think!fail. It's better today, in that falsely comforting way burns get the first few days before the skin starts to peel and it hurts again.

Tally:
Defying Gravity: 1 - 2 - 3
Defying Gravity RPFS: 1
Army Wives: 1
Law & Order SVU: 1
Mary Poppins: 1
Remington Steele/The Love Boat: 1
...and any number of fics I've started and never finished...
01. Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
More than I'd thought, less than I'd hoped.
02. What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
Stargate. Granted, I have yet to post any Stargate stuff, but for the purpose of documentation I'm counting everything I've written, not just the stuff I've posted. But considering that around this time last year I'd seen 2 episodes of Stargate, neither of which I was all that into, I could never have imagined that I'd be sitting here with the 61-disc box now.
I also wouldn't have predicted Sanctuary, but that counts less considering I didn't know the show existed at this time last year. And had I known of it, I probably would have predicted it, the show is right up my alley after all.
03. What's your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
Hmm. Makes me the happiest?
Of the posted ones, probably the Remington Steele/Love Boat one. It's short and sweet and makes me smile. Now had they stopped at favourite and not added the happiest thing, I might have said the Army Wives one, because I really like the mood in it, but it's a little bit sad.
Now, of the stuff I haven't posted there's a Sam Carter/Helen Magnus crossover in my writing journal with a lot of double-takes, suspicious people, and general silliness that makes me giggle when I write it, but it will never be posted because if general unworthiness.
04. Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
Hmm. Risks. I don't know if it's a risk, but that write-to-music meme I did for Olivia Benson was written very differently than I've ever tried before. I've never written to music, and I've never really succeeded in writing in such a short time. Now, I didn't really succeed this time either considering I went back and tweaked them afterwards, but I wrote the main idea for each drabble as the song was playing, and I tried a few different styles I haven't really written before, so that was interesting. I learned that it is possible to write under stress.
05. Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
Write more? Try writing longer, but I suck at that and don't really have the patience for it, so just more in general, whatever form it takes.
06. From my past year of writing, what was...
My Best Story:
I'm cheating and saying Not A Client, a Riddick/Firefly crossover I wrote year before last, but I didn't do this meme last year, and that fic is IMHO probably the best thing I've ever written.
Most Disappointing:
This My Fair Lady Eliza/Pearce fic I never finished. I had a really good feeling about that one, but then I completely blocked on the ending. Sadness.
Most Sexy:
A Nikki/Nora/Calleigh/Natalia in various twosome constellations thing I haven't finished... the computer screwed up the file for me so I had to go back to an old backup and lost a few scenes and after that I was too pissed off to keep working on it.
