Spent the morning watching season 2 of The Guild, and drinking out of the cup on the left. It felt apt, and it's one of my favourites. Then I saw the rose on the right, and took a picture of that too, because it was pretty. [click either to enlarge]
I gotta say, though, that for all that I like The Guild, I have to wonder when it became ok to portray child neglect bordering on abuse as something comedic? If spousal abuse was portrayed similarly that would never be acceptable.

Yes, I was cruelly tricked into watching Dr. Horrible back when it first came out. I hated it! OMG! SHE FRICKIN DIES!! Which ruined any possible awesomeness that might have come before that. Joss Whedon is so not for me, and had I watched more of him, I'd know that, but since he's not for me, I don't watch his stuff, and had it once again reinforced that he SUCKS. For once I'm so glad that the network sat on a creator to have them change their artistic vision, which got me Firefly. So Whedon is in the shithouse twice over, Serenity and Dr. Horrible, and I will stay far far away from him for all times.
That said, I think The Guild is pretty funny. It's not super-amazing-awesome, but it's cute and funny and I very much enjoyed watching it. I'm hoping Felicia will not let me down, and keep the Whedon influences to a minimum.
