michellek gave me P. (Which would have been so much easier if I could do actresses instead of characters; Poppy, Peta, Portia - coincidentally all Australian...)
Peter no-last-name - Jane Doe

I had very low expectations for this movie, generic running-for-our-lives action/thriller piece, and mostly it was just that (like I blogged a while back). However, one of the really awesome things about it was Christina Cox's character Peter. Easily the most kick-ass character she's ever played (that I've seen, but I have seen like 60% of her IMDb listings, and of the ones I haven't seen 75% are guest-starring roles from before 1998). Peter likes guns and shooting things and people, and hates people who degrade women, go back on their word, or speak ill of her mother. She has a brief appearance at the beginning, and then rides in like a knight in shining armor and saves the day about 2/3rds through, looking hard and kick-ass the entire time. It's awesome!
Sara "Pez" Pezzini - Witchblade

Pez is perfect. That is, she's flawed and vulnerable and broken and amazing and strong and obstinate and so many more things. She show is fantastic; it's gritty and dark and despite all its magic and weirdness it's at its heart very real, and very emotional, and that's largely because of Pez. She kicks ass and she's very strong, but she feels everything, and she wears her emotions on her sleeve the entire time, her confusion, her pain, her fear, her sorrow, and none of it diminishes her, she feels it, and channels her emotions into the strength of her character, and it's amazing.
Peregrin "Pippin" Took - Lord of the Rings

It feels strange to talk about one hobbit without mentioning the other, because Pippin and Merry so belong together. That scene where Gandalf takes Pippin off to Gondor while Merry stays behind in Rohan makes me want to write hobbit-slash, which, believe me, is not easy to make me want to do. And I love the scene where he sings that song to the crazy regent while Faramir rides out on his suicide mission, that makes me cry every time.
Peggy Peabody - The L Word

A fantastically kick-ass lady. 'Our family don't go to jail, we generally go to Europe' still makes me giggle every time. She hasn't appeared much in the last few seasons, but when she does it's always memorable. The few she had this season were fantastic, when Helena was in jail, and then when she was in the hospital. Not to mention the actress's appearance in that adorable movie D.E.B.S., where she also has a P-name, Mrs. Petrie, and made a reference to Jodie Foster and Silence of the Lambs, which, you know, the way to my heart is mentioning people I adore, not by giving me food.
Bette Porter/Helena Peabody - The L Word

And for serious, there are like no characters that begin with P. So I'm cheating and doing last names for the last one, but I figured I'd make up for that by including both Porter and Peabody (because how could I choose??). Easily my two favourite characters on the L Word. Gorgeous alpha females who've got that long luscious dark hair thing going. *swoon* Of course, I've long since stopped caring about any story arcs that run longer than a few episodes on TLW, considering, well, that fact that no-one on the production team seems remotely concerned about continuity and credibility, but Bette's power persona has been intact throughout the show, and Helena's naïve elegance, and I <3 them both. So much.

A) People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs & replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
B) Tag 8 people to do this quiz & those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by & cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by. Continue this game by sending it to other people.
B) I replace the above instruction. Tagging is annoying. Grab it if you want it.
