"You crossed the line!" Nora leans forward and traces her finger along a valley, drawing a line from north to south, across several ridges. "We agreed that you would stay on your side, and I..."
"I didn't agree, you told me, and now I've decided that you were wrong. Move over." Lindsay puts her hand next to Nora's, and slowly pushes it out of the way, ignoring Nora's death-glare, and sketches a large circular shape in the air. "This whole area right here, it would make a whole lot of more sense to share it."
"It would not. I'm more familiar with it, and I don't wanna be responsible for out-of-towners who don't know what they're doing."
Lindsay raises both eye-brows, and there's a glint of outrage in her eyes. "What makes you think I don't know what I'm doing?"
"You said so yourself, this was your first experience with this kind of cross-jurisdictional project."
"That doesn't mean I'm unfamiliar with the over-all procedure. Besides, you're the one who invited me to join the... investigation. It would be a hell of a lot easier if you weren't so territorial."
"I'm not territorial!"
Lindsay muffles a laugh. The woman next to them has no such compunctions, and snickers loudly. Lindsay points to her. "I didn't say it. But she agrees with me."
Nikki finally decides to intervene, reaches over to grasp Nora's hands. "Nora, honey, I love you, but," she leans back, places both of Nora's hands firmly against the bare skin of her belly. "If you two don't get over this 'jurisdictional dispute' soon, and get on with it, I'm gonna leave you two to each other and take matters into my own hands."
