So first out 5x05. Which I pretty much hated. Sorry, Angela Robinson. Way too much Jenny, and the Alice-thing - while momentarily satisfying - still was annoying, and is just gonna give rise to more grief that's gonna give me more scenes I'm gonna have trouble watching in the future.
However, the Bette/Tina/Jodi thing was brilliance. Fucking brilliance. The only good thing about this crappy episode. Bette was gorgeous, as always, of course, and I love how her hair's getting longer now (not that I didn't love the soccer-mom 'do, everyone knows I love a soccer mom - and also, Jennifer Beals would be gorgeous in anything). The Bette/Tina phonecall was awesome, Bette's uncertainty, and Tina, oh Tina, how you rose up in my regard! You handled Bette brilliantly, and your rolling eyes, and sighs were just brilliance. You almost deserve Bette - which coincides completely with the point where you can actually be a match for her. Go Tina!!!
And the Bette/Jodi exchange in the bathroom. I'm with everyone who said that Jodi is *crazy* to turn down a night of lazing around in bed with Bette instead of going to some stupid party of Jenny's, but it's still a very very nice exchange. They're very comfortable around each other, and easily interacting. Totally awesome. And also HOT with the making out on the bed. Jodi, I'll say it again, you're fucking crazy to turn down an evening in bed with Bette over going off dancing somewhere.
Bette yelling all over the place when she met her actress was very awesome. Tina's reaction was great, she clearly thought the actress was a moron, too, but can't really say that, since it's her actress. Jodi handled Bette yelling at her beautifully, and didn't seem to at all take offense. Bette calling the cops to file a 'noise complaint'. So hot. I *love* how she pronounced 'complaint'. It's my new SMS signal. :P
And finally. Jodi taking care of drunk!Tina was so great. Jodi is really really a wonderful character. Marlee Matlin is a wonderful actress. That was so sweet how she brought her home, and tucked her in, like a kinda rational human being would, despite Bette looking like someone who accidentally chewed a lemon or five. Darn you people for making Jodi such a likeable character just when I was getting to the point where I thought I could handle watching her and Bette go separate ways. Not that I didn't like Jodi, just that I didn't think they were necessarily right for each other, but Jodi is clearly into this relationship regardless of their differences and seems to be settling in very contentedly. ARGH.
On to 5x06. Which, uh, did anything happen other than Bette and Tina having two insanely hot love scenes? That was some seriously *hawt* stuff. A lot of the time sex scenes has me rolling my eyes and waiting for them to be over so the story can go on, but yum. Of course, any scene involving Jennifer Beals is bound to be hot. She just hasn't been getting much lately. My oh my. For once I agree with the We're Getting Nowhere ladies. They thought the Bette/Tina scenes were hot too. But I just watched their recap of the episode, and while they were funny, they clearly aren't into anything on this show that I'm into. Bah.
So let's just move on to 5x07. I love Tina. I love how she's gotten her feet under her and is a capable organized woman who gets things done. Confidence is indeed very sexy.
Damn, seeing Jodi all happy just makes me wanna cry. Damn you Bette, for intending to hurt her!!! That scene with Jodi and her ex, and Jodi's all 'sometimes she's weird and moody, but mostly we communicate really well'?? She sure looks like she's being sincere when she says it, and honestly confused when mentioning Bette's weird mood swings. Damn damn damn you Bette. You had a good thing with Tina, and you blew it (although it did a world of good for Tina), and then you managed to get another good thing going with Jodi (no idea if you deserved that one), and now you wanna screw that one up too. If I didn't love you so much, Bette, I'd probably resent the hell out of you. I also need a Marlee Matlin icon. How sad is it that I'm really looking forward to Dancing with the Stars just because she's gonna be on it?? My mother and sister have been fans of the show for years, and every once in a while try to force-feed me some, but I just don't see its appeal. I'd so much rather go to the ballet and see real dancers. But Marlee Matlin, now that's an entirely different ballpark. I love me some Marlee.
Tina as the exasperated and outraged voice of reason ordering Jenny to jump in the Turkish Lesbian Oil Wrestling ring? Totally awesome. Tina, I dig you more and more every episode.

And WTF is up with not letting actresses appear on We're Getting Nowhere?? You'd think that would be a load of free advertisment...
