So I don't care one single little bit about these women's business issues. Nor do I care about Zoe's Competative Parenting. Which means I haven't actually watched all of the second episode, but I've seen (I think) all of Caitlin's scenes, almost all of Miranda's scenes, and Mia and Zoe only in scenes where they hang out with either Caitlin or Miranda. (See? I know their characters' names now! I even know that Miranda's character is Juliet, but I haven't gotten to the point where I can think of her as anything but Miranda yet.)
You know, for a moment there I was sort of respecting Davis just a little, for seeming somewhat reasonable, even though he's a cheating bastard, but yeah, he's handling it well, and it's a pretty good guy who takes the initiative to see a marriage counsellor. However, all that went out the window when the daughter got a 56% on her math test, and when Miranda walks in with her new outfit he goes "I'm much more interested in what *that's* all about." NOT OK! How can you be less interested in your kid's future than your wife's new outfit? Seriously? Davis; you SUCK.
So Caitlin, loved her coming out scene, it was sweet and pretty non-dramatic. Her friends were surprised, but not freaked out, and she seemed very confident when she kind of demanded their support. (As a side-note, Mia's favourite co-worker is gay - I did see parts of that scene.) Miranda was the only one who seemed to wanna do a bit of processing (loved the "Is this like when you went kosher for two weeks *pointed stare*?" Apparently Caitlin has a history of being a bit flighty.), and that can't have lasted very long because in her next scene she's calling Caitlin for advice. (And there's some sweet hand-holding. Screw Juliet/Mia fic, I wanna write Juliet/Caitlin fic!!)
So basically, I only care about Caitlin's lesbian storyline, and the others when they involve each other. Really, what do I care if Miranda is off meeting some dude? Not. Is how much I care. However, walking down the street holding Caitlin's hand? Very much!
Miranda is gorgeous, though. So gorgeous. I'm getting to like Caitlin too, but it's just the dyke bias. Lourdes Benedicto, though, OMG she's so beautiful. Could I possibly manage Juliet/Alicia? It feels a little far-fetched, and Caitlin and Juliet already have the emotional connection. Hmm... Wonder if my muse might pay me a visit *send off urgent message in a bottle to remote island where she's partying with lots of hot chicks and drinking piƱa coladas*...
I need a proper Cashmere Mafia icon. I only have the one Miranda icon...
Teeth still haven't re-aligned themselves. Grr. Argh.
