I don't fall for blondes. This is not a conscious choice, but rather something I realized several years ago when I first started making lists of my favourite ladies and realized that on any given list there was one, maybe two blondes top. Ever. Brunettes were in overwhelming majority, and the redheads were definitely more than their proportionate share. So inspired by
fran___'s brunette list, here's my list of 'something different'.
List Proper:

#10 - Poppy Montgomery
She's really pretty. I've never really all-out crushed on her, but occasionally I catch her show and think to myself that she's really very pretty. And she's also hilarious on talk shows.

#9 - Kelly Rowan
After seeing her as the cute gay teacher in The Truth About Jane I sat through two seasons of The OC for her. TWO SEASONS! That says something about how much I liked her.

#8 - Ellen & Portia
Not so much a blonde thing, as a funny and gay thing. But since they're blonde and I adore them they totally make the list. More power to them!

#7 - Miranda Otto
Lord of the Rings is one of those exceptions that I love despite the fact that 99% of it centers around men. That said, I've probably seen the Éowyn bits at least 5 times more often than any other parts of the films. She's gorgeous and amazing and fights and is awesome in all the right ways.

#6 - Heather Locklear
One of my very first crushes, Heather Locklear followed on the heels of Stephanie Zimbalist. The TJ Hooker re-runs were an extremely important part of my afternoon every day when I came home from school in 5th grade (much like Remington Steele had been in 4th grade).

#5 - Sharon Gless
Cagney, Cagney, Cagney. Who doesn't love Cagney? Kick-ass and amazing and beautiful and *le sigh*.

#4 - Maria Bello
Once upon a time there was a little show called Mr & Mrs Smith that starred Maria Bello as a snarky kick-ass spy, and I loved the heck out of that show, and her character. Still do, and Maria Bello is still really awesome!

#3 - Linda Kozlowski
Relatively new discovery. I loved the Crocodile Dundee movies as a child, but when I saw them again a few weeks ago I just couldn't get over how absolutely beautiful Linda Kozlowski was. *guh*

#2 - Elizabeth Mitchell
An ER/Gia thing that lasted relatively long. She's absolutely stunning, but I can't seem to get into Lost, not even for her, so it sort of trickled out...

#1 - Emily Procter
The only one on this list who's actually a real live lasting obsession. I had trouble picking a picture of her for all the good reasons (too many to choose from). I don't see her leaving the #1 spot anytime soon. Love her!
Honorary Mentions:

Amanda Tapping
Sweet lovely Amanda, my newest obsession. Shiny and pretty and new and amazing and exciting and awesome. I can't in good conscience list her as a blonde, though, even if I've come to love and adore Sam Carter *just* as much as Helen Magnus... but the truth(uary?) is that I didn't even notice her until she dyed her hair dark. *sigh*

Renée O'Connor
Ah, Gabrielle. I love and adore Gabrielle with all my heart, and would probably chose her as a companion over pretty much all the other women on this list (except Amanda and Emily). I just... never thought of her *that* way.
Additional notes:
Christina Cox is not a blonde. Neither is Marlee Matlin or Lucy Lawless. If you'd like to question that I'd be happy to post a selection of pictures to demonstrate how not blonde they are. If there's anyone else you'd like to question the lack of, please do so in the comments!

Well done list.
I also did not pay any crushing attention to the Amanda Tapping until she was a brunette. *is shamed*

Wow, I thought I was the only chick in the world who hadn't been head over heels for Amanda for the last 13 years. :P The dark hair is incredible, though. *guh*
