That's a really dumb title... I mean, considering they actually have a character named Eve. (And yeah yeah, I get how it kinda works, but I don't need *more* religious overtones on this show...
Lineararly polarized? Means it's focused on Peru? I don't remember much of high school physics, but I'm pretty sure something that's polarized means it's a wave traveling in only one plane, not in one direction. But is that where the linear comes in?
I hate Donner's V.O.s. He cuts in at the most annoying times.
Quit it with the lame-o 'Big Awesome Epic Thing Happening' music... it sounds like the end of a movie, not the opening of a tv show.
Beta is kinda lame, isn't it?
Oooooh, Jen totally can't see it. That's so awesome. And sad. Dude. But she can still see the light it emits, just not the actual Beta? That's kinda weird.
I gotta read up on whatever the heck fractals are about. Like really? I mean it sounds scientific and all that, but I'd kinda like a physics nerd to explain it to me how it really works.
And wait, Jen can't see Beta, but she can see the light it sends out? That's kinda weird-ass.
"Tomatoes don't grow in fractal patterns." Spot-on observation there, Evram. Yeah. They don't. Does that mean they're gonna abandon the whole science-fact angle and just assume that Beta can do whatever the hell Beta wants? (Like create gravity in the kitchen for food items.)
And they're gonna be collecting them? Cool! You know, I've been sort of sceptical about whatever odd purpose it is Beta has been directing, but I'll buy that. They're gonna go out in space and collect Beta's friends.

I have a bit of an issue with forced exposition. They couldn't have told us Eve's story gradually??? I mean, we all knew from the first episode that there was more to her than met the eye.

Oooh, for the first time Paula said something I can really really get behind. "The more I learn about the universe, the stronger my faith becomes." My mother is a biology professor who's also done a lot of research in her career, and that's how she raised me to be a Christian (Protestant). Science is Truth, but the deeper you dig the harder it is to believe there is not a good force guiding it somewhere, not bending the laws of nature, necessarily, but guiding it along in accordance to the laws of nature. Kinda. And I like that Paula thinks the same way. (Although she's *way* more religious than we are... way way more. We're like moderately liberal who happen to be Christians for cultural reasons.)
