White-tailed eagle


Not the best picture, but that's 3 white-tailed eagles in one shot, which is kinda rare. We saw a total of 7 but they didn't come this close to each other most of the time.

Lots of pretty calves in the pastures.


This one attempted to eat the thistles, at no great success. It must have still been dependent on its mother for its main nourishment.

Can you see the bones in the back that I have completely separated from the meat? That takes practice, people, I've been doing this for 15 years, and while most of them turn out perfectly ok, rarely have I been as satisfied as I have been this year with my new technique.
