There's a ton of stuff I wanna write about that I haven't had time for in the last few weeks. I'll work my way back.
Women's Murder Club - no spoilers:
I finally got around to seeing the first two episodes today, and I mostly kinda liked it. I mean, Angie Harmon is gorgeous. (Why don't I have an Angie Harmon icon?) I've loved her since I first laid eyes on her back in the Baywatch Nights days (which I should totally re-watch some time, for old times sake). And I gotta say, if the new pilot is as awful and terrible compared to the original as Sarah & Lori says, the original pilot must have been one hell of an awesome show. It makes me sad, though, because all the things they're upset about, are all the things I'm always rolling my eyes at in just about every single crime show, and according to Sarah & Lori, the original didn't have a lot of those things.
I'll probably continue watching it (for a while at least), because it's all about women, and it's got Angie Harmon, who's really really hot. However, after I'd watched the two first episodes I started looking for fic, and I had absolutely no idea which one was which. I had to head over to IMDb and check out what Angie's character's name was (Lindsay? Really? Not that there's anything wrong with it, it's just... so... child starlet junkie-ish). But at least Lindsay rang a bell, but the names Jill and Claire and Cindy meant absolutely nothing to me. So obviously the show must be doing something wrong.
My ship-of-choice would be Lindsay/Claire, of course, because omg, the other two are just children! There are NO such fics, sadly. However, people seem to be into Lindsay/Claire for whatever reason. And sure, I'll read it, but rather Lindsay/Jill (if I can't have Claire), and there's some of that around too. (Not much of anything yet, though.)
At least Angie's not doing what Kim Delaney on Army Wives did, which was drive me straight back into the comforting arms of NYPD Blue fic. Lindsay's so different from Abbie Carmichael that while I will surely be re-reading all my favourite Law & Order fics many times yet to come, it won't be because of this show. It might make me watch Baywatch Nights again, though.
And I need icons. Definitely.
eta: Oh, also? Lindsay Boxer's San Francisco is not the same as Kate Martinelli's San Francisco in my head, which is freaking me out.
