1. Who is your favourite character from #2 (The X-Files)?
Scully. Hands down. I loved Reyes and all, but Scully is on a completely different level of worship.
2. Who is your least favourite character from #4 (The L Word)?
Jenny. Jenny Jenny Jenny. I *wanna* say Max/Moira, but really, he's just annoying. Jenny is selfish and annoying and wrecks the universe while she's at it without realizing it's not all about her.
3. What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include? (Xena, Arrested Development)
Uhm. Hmm. I'd imagine it'd be some crazy-ass futuristic Xena ep where Xena and Callisto have a huge epic fight between good and evil that somehow takes them through some Bluth project or other, and the Bluths would think it was all a giant scheme against them.
4. Who is your favourite ship from #6? (Army Wives)
Claudia Joy/Denise. OMG. If the show wasn't so very straight it'd be frickin' maintext. The hugging! The touching! The glances! The hugging!
5. If you were to set one person from #3 (Ellen) and one person from #6 (Army Wives) on a blind date, who would they be?
Well, the Ellen fandom doesn't consist of much other than Ellen - and in Tina Fey's words: 'I don't need Portia de Rossi coming after me' - really, but maybe DJ Johnny could be set up with Jeremy, or something?
6. If you could meet one person from #4 (The L Word) and spend the day with them, who would it be, and what would you do?
Well, there's the hedonistic version, where it's Helena, and we spend the day in bed. But otherwise Bette, and she could take me to her favourite museum, and then out to dinner.
7. If you could change one thing about #2's (The X-Files) plot line, what would you change?
No fair! Only one thing? There are so many people that should die! So many people that should not have died! But ignoring that, I would never have let Mulder and Scully romance each other on TV, there would have been no silly love letters, not making out.
8. Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from show #5 (Arrested Development), and why you like the relationship between them.
Michael and George Michael, because they're both trying so hard, and yet it never gets entirely right. Michael is trying so hard to be a good father, even if he forgets himself sometimes. But most of the time he tries, even as he falls into various traps thinking his son is like him, or like someone else, or just goes off on a tangent thinking something else entirely. George Michael is trying really hard to be a good responsible son, but he gets too easily talked into things, and too easily, he misunderstands his father, his father misunderstands him, and he's too worried about every single thing he does to always pay attention to the world around him, which includes his dad. The important thing is that they obviously care for each other deeply, and really *want* to do the best things for each other.
9. If the lead title characters (first name in the credits) from #1 (Xena) and #3 (Ellen) were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be?
Ellen. Hands down. Because, you know, she's real, and all. And also, Xena would no way drown, not only would she save herself, but if she was somehow incapacitated, no way would Gab let Xena drown. So she's doubly covered. And again, Ellen's real.
10. If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #4 (The L Word), what order would you choose?
Bette, Helena, Alice, Shane, Jodi, Dana, Kit, Tina... Jenny would not be on the show at all.
11. If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline for #6 (Army Wives), what would the character be like, and what would their role be?
A hot lesbian! Someone who was obviously in a marriage of convenience, probably to a gay man, for whatever reason. It would be obvious to the main characters, of course, but not so much to any superiors. She would shake everything up, and encourage the other ladies to have affairs with her.
12. What happens in your favourite episode of show #2 (The X-Files)?
Scully, having found out that as a result of her abduction she cannot have children, finds a little girl, orphaned since her parents were killed in a freak accident, who bears a startling resemblance to her sister who died a few years ago. Scully's family strongly oppose her involvement with the little girl, but there is a period in Melissa's life that is unaccounted for, and Scully orders a DNA test on the child thinking Melissa had a child that she gave up for adoption. It turns out, however, that while Emily, the little girl, is certainly related to Melissa, Scully is the mother. What follows is a crazy hunt with wondering if Emily is for real or an alien, lots of people who want to kill her, all the while seeing a side of Scully we've never seen before, and whole lot of heart-ache. (It's really a two-piecer, but they go together.) The first time I saw it, immediately after finishing the episode I rewound the tape and watched it all over again. The first and last time I've done that.
13. If you could kill off one of the characters in #1 (Xena), who would it be and how would you do it?
Ares. I could say Joxer, because Annoying!, but still, he's just annoying, and Ares is plain-out evil. He puts them through all kinds of crap for no other reason than to be evil, so die, bastard, die. Preferably slowly and painfully during one of his mortal spells. He'd end up getting involved with something that gets out of hand and experience first-hand the awful sense of powerlessness that comes with being purposefully manipulated, and then end up dead because someone mistook him for someone who was actually important.
14. If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 (Ellen) or show #5 (Arrested Development), which would you choose?
Ellen! Sure, AD would be interesting to visit, but mainly for Portia's sake, and there's a pretty good chance of seeing her on Ellen's set, anyway.
15. If you could date anyone from any of these shows, which show and which person?
Gosh. I wanna say Ellen, but again, don't need Portia coming after me, and I think, in the end it comes down to being Scully. She wouldn't wanna date me, though, she's all the things I'm not, driven, focused, ambitious, workaholic... Still, she's my choice, and I'm sticking with it.
